NCDeer Forum Guidelines – Read Before Posting To keep this forum useful, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone, all members are expected to follow the guidelines below. Failure to do so may result in post removal or account restrictions. 1. Respect Other Members - Treat everyone with basic respect, even when you disagree. - No personal attacks, harassment, name-calling, or inflammatory behavior. - Debate ideas, not individuals. 2. Keep It Hunting-Focused - This forum exists for North Carolina hunting discussion. - Stay on topic within each thread. - Off-topic posts may be moved or removed. 3. No Illegal Activity - Do not post or promote anything that violates North Carolina hunting laws or regulations. - This includes poaching, trespassing, or unethical practices. - When in doubt, don’t post it. 4. No Spam or Self-Promotion - No unsolicited advertising, affiliate links, or repetitive promotion. - Businesses must follow any designated sponsor/vendor rules if applicable. - Classifieds (if allowed) should stay in the proper section. 5. Be Honest and Accurate - Share reliable information when possible. - Clearly label opinions vs. facts. - Misinformation—especially about regulations or safety—may be removed. 6. Keep It Clean - No explicit, obscene, or excessively vulgar content. - Graphic images (harvest photos, etc.) should be posted with discretion and respect. 7. Protect Privacy - Do not share personal information (yours or others’) without consent. - No posting private messages, phone numbers, addresses, or land locations without permission. 8. Use Common Sense with Photos & Locations - Avoid posting exact hunting spots or GPS coordinates unless you’re comfortable sharing publicly. - Respect other hunters’ privacy and hard-earned areas. 9. Follow Moderator Direction - Moderators have final say on rule enforcement. - If a post is removed or edited, do not repost it. - Concerns can be handled via private message, not in public threads. 10. Contribute Value - Share experiences, tips, and knowledge that help the community. - New members are welcome—help them out instead of running them off. Bottom line: Act like you would around a campfire with other hunters—respectful, honest, and grounded. Thanks for being part of NCDeer and helping build a solid hunting community.
