North Carolina's community-driven whitetail deer hunting resource — built by local hunters, for local hunters.

Our Mission
"To build the most useful, community-driven whitetail hunting resource for North Carolina — a place where hunters at every experience level can find the tools, information, and community they need to have a successful season."
— The NCDeer TeamNCDeer was built by a small group of lifelong North Carolina whitetail deer hunters who got tired of piecing together information from a dozen different sources every season. Season dates were buried in a PDF, license fees required a phone call, moon phase tools were cookie-cutter national apps that didn't account for NC-specific conditions.
So we built it ourselves. NCDeer brings together everything a NC deer hunter actually needs — season dates, license info, moon phases, weather tools, a community record book, and a place to share your harvest — under one roof, designed specifically for hunting in North Carolina.
What We Offer
Community Standards
NCDeer is a community-first platform. We ask all members to keep things respectful, truthful, and useful. Trophy submissions are reviewed before appearing publicly. Sighting reports are moderated for quality.
We believe in the hunting traditions that have been passed down through NC families for generations — the early mornings, the patience, the respect for the land and the animal. This site is a small digital extension of that tradition.
Have a suggestion, bug report, or want to contribute an article? Drop us a message — we're a small team and genuinely read every email.
Disclaimer
NCDeer is not affiliated with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC). Season dates, bag limits, and regulations are provided as a convenience reference and are believed to be accurate for the current season, but you should always verify current rules directly with ncwildlife.org before hunting.
Hunting regulations change annually. NCDeer makes no warranty as to the accuracy of regulatory information. Always carry a current NC hunting license and be aware of the laws that apply to your specific county and land type.
Moon phase data is calculated algorithmically and is approximate. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo, a free open-source weather service. Record Book entries are compiled from publicly available sources for informational purposes.
